Broken English, no proofreading, spelling, missing chars in the code, steps not explained, lousy formatting. I requested a refund. For a good Linux driver reference, check out Linux Device Drivers, 3rd Edition, in PDF format, available free online.
The number of errors in the sample code makes this a very difficult source. Several times I had to Google the sample code to get examples that would compile. The author's enthusiasm for the topic is commendable, but the English mistakes are annoying and confusing. I do like the progression from elementary subjects to more complex topics. Now that I know what I'm up against, a second reading might be worth the time and effort.
Perhaps something was lost in translation, but this book is one of the worst compilations I have ever seen. Grammar, what grammar? Not even worth the $4 bucks...
Should have read the other reviews before buying. The English is terrible. You get what you pay for.
The book helps in understanding the device drivers program in simple way....worth reading before experimenting the driver programs. I appreciate author's hard work...
